Description
Beşiktaş Tüpraş Stadium is a modern architectural landmark of Istanbul, officially opened on April 11, 2016. Over the years, it has had two previous names: first Vodafone Arena, and later Vodafone Park.
The stadium was built on the site of the former BJK İnönü Stadium, which was demolished in 2013. Construction of the new arena took three years and was carried out according to a design by the architectural firm DB Architects.
Beşiktaş Tüpraş became the first “green” stadium in Turkey thanks to its use of environmentally friendly technologies and energy-efficient solutions, making it a unique venue.
The stadium has a capacity of 42,590 spectators and offers a wide range of seating options, including luxury boxes, VIP areas, and standard stands.
As the home ground of Beşiktaş JK, the stadium has received high praise from fans for its comfort and well-designed infrastructure. In addition to sporting events, visitors can explore the club museum, learn about the team’s history, or shop at the official store.
The venue regularly hosts international-level matches. In 2019, it held the UEFA Super Cup match between Liverpool and Chelsea. The stadium also hosts Turkish Super League games, European competitions, and concerts by world-famous artists.
Its convenient location makes it easily accessible by public transport, and parking facilities are available for visitors arriving by car.
Beşiktaş Tüpraş Stadium stands as a symbol of modern Turkish football, where innovation harmoniously blends with tradition.
